I'd love to hear you talk more about the carnivore diet

Hilary Blankenship · July 1, 2018 at 9:14 am

Awesome information. I call you my YouTube doctor. Lol. Thanks for making these videos. You're awesome!

David Bennett · July 1, 2018 at 10:10 am

I stopped eating Carbohydrates. My diet is as Zero Carbs as possible. I am essentially a carnivore. Very high fat, moderate protein, extremely low carbohydrates. I only use heavy and Spring and Summer butter cream from pastured cows. During the periods of rapid grass growth I purchase lots of heavy cream from local organic dairies. I culture the cream and make butter to freeze. At least 20 lbs. of butter. I also culture my own cream cheese and sour cream. Just heavy cream in my cream cheese no other additives except Himalayan pink salt. During the late Fall and throughout the winter I use locally produced fresh organic heavy cream from hay fed cows. The cows are never fed grains. Sorry for my digression. I eat very fatty meats, lots of eggs, and cheese. No vegetables ever.

Fibromyalgia! After 20 years I feel pain free….weight loss is slow but inches are shrinking. Thanks Doc 🙂

Dorinda Middleton · July 1, 2018 at 10:25 am

I’ve been doing this for a little over a month. I lost about 6 pounds strait off but have stopped now. My doctor is all for it. I have several medical conditions. I’m trying to believe but since the stall I’m getting nervous. I have never lost weight easily. But my BP and blood sugars are my biggest worry. My CRP is 8.9 argh! Any suggestions.

karen quick · July 1, 2018 at 10:26 am

Hi Dr. Berry. Can you do a video if it is ok to stay on keto during pregnancy? Many will benefit. Thanks in advance.

Mrs. Geri D. · July 1, 2018 at 10:49 am

Thank you for this video Dr. Berry. I’ve been eating keto for 2 weeks now. I’m not overweight but I do take amlodipine for hypertension (long family history). I am hoping I could get my mom on this as she has kidney, htn, and GERD issues.

Rachel Della Rosa · July 1, 2018 at 10:49 am

How about memory lost… forget some times and look for words … should you do Keto…

Ted Craig · July 1, 2018 at 11:43 am

Can you make a video on research? What research to trust, and how we know we can.
Further more I’m 27 and have had fatty liver for ~8 months. My primary told me Monday that i wouldn’t be able to heal my fatty liver. Since then i have cut my grain and bad carb intake by 80% and quit drinking Diet Pepsi. Im thinking of going Keto but still researching. At the very least from hear on out i will be ~95% whole foods, no more grains.

This is off topic but what are your thoughts on dried dates, I absolutely love them but feel guilty when I eat them and worry that they kick me out of ketosis

Brilliant info… Concise and to the point. You rock, Dr. Berry! 💪

3 months on Keto and IF after 10 year with poorly managed D2, I just got my lap results yesterday, A1C went from 10.1 to 5.8 , lost 20 pounds and never felt better.

Caroline Saliba · July 1, 2018 at 2:37 pm

Dr Ken I started keto and discovered gallstones, and very poor liver functions. I also had been diagnosed with PCOS when I was 19. And now I don’t know what to do. I am pressured by the doctors to remove my gallbladder. Which I refuse to do right now.
How can I slowly switch to keto without provoking my liver and gallbladder?

Dr Berry ! Please help me ! I have a huge problem with bloating. Doing keto 4+ weeks, losing weight, love the good feels, no depression, etc…, but I'm looking like an pregnant woman ( and I'm a 29 yrs male ) if I eat fat ( any kind of fat ). Example : 1 piece salmond or half of avocado bloating me about 5-7 hour, can not eat and feeling ultimate bloated. Like my body absolutly do not what need to do with fat ( before this ketogenic diet for years I always followed low fat diet ). In my ketogenic diet never ate : sweetners, bacons, sausages. I eat only healty fats.
Plus after a fatty meal next day I have an inflammation on my butt.
I tried to figure out myself, I read a lot, there was a group of people who said : I take too much fiber ( 30-35g/day) then I dropped, but not helped me ! I trried everything ( pre &probiotics, digest enzymes ) not helped.
Please can you help me and figure out why is this "effect ? " No one cant helped me !

PS : if I ate sweet potato, next day the bloating little bit less

Raving Cyclist · July 1, 2018 at 6:30 pm

45 days and counting. The results have been amazing. I have the BP of a 20 year old. And cycling is much better burning ketones than glucose!

Rosanna Herrera · July 1, 2018 at 10:23 pm

Hi Dr. Berry please Please help! Ive tried keto and my cholesterol went high, I've felt literally the cholesterol around my heart. But my mayor concern is that I have no pituitary gland, after a removal of a tumor so I wonder if the "keto" signaling is still expected. I think one should listen to body so Im not sure if its the dairies, the healthy fats, but just wanted to know what are your best tips for a long life and best health living without a pituitary gland. I use replacement hormones (growth+estrogen+progesterone) but always feel lagging of overall health. Thanks in advance for your help and valuable time.

If you want to benefit many thousands more with your videos Dr Berry, please look into getting closed captions on your videos. I would love my parents to watch your videos but they are both profoundly deaf, and subtitles would be amazing!

What is the best glucometer do you recommend?
I've seen ads for testing meters that do not require finger sticks. Would appreciate your thoughts.

Myrna Renoud · July 3, 2018 at 7:29 am

I suffer reoccurring UTIs. I’m 68 and am under a urologist’s care. He recommended I change my diet and I started Keto about 3 months ago. But I have another UTI! Does Keto help with that?

I've been keto now for 5 weeks. I lost 27lbs and recently had a full physical and bloodwork(4 weeks into the diet). Vitals are perfect, BP 112/72. Was borderline high a year ago. Bloodwork came back clean as well. I was worried about high cholesterol but all is right in line. Loving life right now.

Will keto help someone with Addison's disease?

Chris Jackson · July 11, 2018 at 3:39 am

What about epilepsy. Keto is used to treat children with epilepsy. I started low carb when I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. After 20 years of having seizures, I've only had one since I started Keto. And that was after falling off the wagon for a week. I'm fully strapped onto the Keto wagon now. 😉

Kimberly Hall · July 14, 2018 at 2:51 pm

Dr. Berry, hi i love your videos on youtube and watch all the time. Iam a type 2 diabetic and am doing keto. I have about 80 pounds to lose. However, my husband needs to lose no weight. He is 40,6’0 and about 175-180 pounds. He has IBS though and aches and pains. We asked our Dr if keto was ok for him too since im on it. It would be so simple to just be able to eat the same thing. She said no because he dont need to lose weight. That he ahould just eat a “balanced” diet like Mediterranean diet or something. She said the fats would bother his IBS and also that he should eat No raw veggies.and No leafy greens as she believes that will mess with his gut.We are so confused as we hear of others being helped with keto for IBS. I understand you cant give any direct advice to us but can you please give us your opinion

Ursula Eissner · July 31, 2018 at 8:56 am

My husband is a type 2 diabetic , he is on Metformin . We both started Keto 3 weeks ago , and his blood glucose readings have been steadily coming down , yay ! He measured this morning , it showed a reading of 5.7 . When is the right time to reduce his medication ?

Mrs. XRrob · August 7, 2018 at 2:24 pm
